A downloadable game for Windows

A short, pointless experience.  Wander around randomly generated worlds -> constructed by mangling text in memory.

  • The game loads the included "1.txt" file and generates a world by messing with the text.  Use the arrow keys to wander around the glitch.  If you're stuck, or bored of the world you find yourself in, simply press R to reload the world and see what happens!
  • You can replace the text in 1.txt, so long as you don't rename it: the game will use whatever you stick in there to generate.
  • Basically a one day project to play around with some garbage generation and work on my CPP skills.  Win only -> sorry, written for the console.
  • ProTip: if you right-click the icon while the game is running you can change the font, and size to your liking.  Some fonts are worse than others for console use, and might clip some of the characters.

Hey ! Long time no see !

Nice little experimentation, I like a lot this kind of micro program. It gives a different view on our favorites texts...

It seems that texts wrote in verses gives a lot of blank parts. Maybe it needs larger texts ?

Definitively going to try some other texts I love. Glitches and experimental games are my jam...

Hope you are well since LD48 !

Not sure how I missed this comment.

FYI, I'm working on a pseudo-sequel for the LowRez gamejam!
